Project Pony is a small specialty espresso bar tucked just metres from the beach in Woolgoolga on the Coffs Coast, NSW. Built by the team behind White Whale Coffee Roasters, it’s a space shaped by years in hospitality, a love of quality coffee, and a slower coastal way of life.

Part espresso bar, part meeting place, Project Pony was created with the belief that coffee shops are more than somewhere to grab a drink. They are modern-day lounge rooms — places where people gather, connect, pause, work, laugh, and quietly become part of a community.

The space itself is inspired by a mix of coastal nostalgia, earthy tones, horses, old surf towns, country energy and a little bit of grit. Thoughtfully designed but intentionally unpretentious, Project Pony blends specialty coffee with warmth, simplicity and a touch of wild spirit.

Coffee is at the heart of everything we do. Our beans are roasted by White Whale Coffee Roasters in Far North Queensland and carefully selected to suit both everyday drinkers and the curious coffee lover. Alongside espresso, you’ll find rotating black coffees, cold brew, batch brew and seasonal offerings designed to be approachable, balanced and genuinely enjoyable to drink.

But more than anything, Project Pony is about people. Good humans, good conversation, good music, salty air, early mornings and creating something that feels welcoming to locals and visitors alike.
